“Pulupot” is the gay-themed indie film to tackle the complexities of the third sex. The movie is helmed by Monti Parungao for Treemount Pictures and stars Justine Ferrer (Survivor Philippines), Justin De Leon (Ang Lalake sa Parola), Echo Caceres, Joyce Acorda, Tsoknut, Jodi Belo and Gio Gapas. Released on May 2010.

BAYAW : Pinoy Gay Film

Bayaw is a story about the bond between two brother-in-laws. Nilo Vergara (Paolo Rivero) is a policeman who lives an ordinary life with his wife, Pia Jacinto (played by Kaye Alipio, Philippine Survivor castaway). Their lives take an unfortunate turn when Nilo looses his badge to a frame up and is forced to depend on Pia for his livelihood. Pia becomes burdened and resentful of the responsibility of taking care of his husband and her drifter young brother, Rhennan (Janvier Daily). One day, Rhennan witnesses Nilo accidentally killing Pia after a heated argument. Both in-laws decide to run from the law and become fugitives. As the story progresses, the real events behind the death of Pia is slowly revealed through flashbacks and shifts in character point-of-views.

Vhagetz is about pre-teens coping with being gay, a story of friendship that blossomed in a squatters' area. Jessie (Alec) is a diligent student who enjoys his father's (Richard Quan) acceptance. He has sworn to his father not to do anything that will disgrace himself and his family. We bet when you leave the theater, you would have memorized by heart the often repeated dialogue of Quan. We even advise you to follow it. Sam (Edeel) prefers dancing to studies, thus alienating himself more from his already uncaring mother (Dexter Doria). Paquito (E.J.) is being maltreated by his father (Mon Confiado) for his being gay and for a deeper reason the son will soon discover. Then there's a lola-lolahan (Cris Daluz) a fag hag, a real late bloomer. Something unexpected happens to Lola Jak and there's the twist in the story. When there are gays, there must be someone they can fantasize about. Enter Jordan Herrera as their friendlyneighbor named Efren.

The movie, Sagwan is set in a quiet town called Tatalon where boatmen make a living ferrying tourists along its long winding river. Behind this scenic setting hides an ugly truth. Boatmen succumb to prostitution to make ends meet. Finding himself at the center of this harsh reality is the main character, Alfred played by newcomer, Ryan Dungo. Alfred prides himself as the only boatman who has not yet resorted to the sex-for-money arrangement his comrades have grown accustomed to. He is faced with pressure from all sides-from his friend Eman (Dennis Torres) who tries to convince him of the benefits of the "trade," his father whose gambling addiction requires financing and from his girlfriend, Cecilia (Martina Wilson) who longs for a more sexually gratifying relationship.

Synopsis

The plot is simple. Ben (Ray-an Dulay) is the supposedly straight campus jock who heads the varsity basketball team, while Sam (Jess Mendoza) is one of the new students in an upscale university. Ang Lalake sa Par0la : Pinoy Gay Film

Napanood ko ang pelikulang ito with a classmate last 2nd Semester 2006. Niyaya lang ako na panoorin ang pelikulang ito at libre ako kaya naman game ako.

Si Harry Laurel ang bida sa pelikulang ito. It was a nice movie naman at talagang naka relate ako ng maigi sa Lalaki sa Parola. Maganda kasi ang story niya at nakarelate talaga ako. At least may isang bagay akong natutunan at hindi ko makalimutan na linya sa movie na ito : "Alam ko na ang diwata!"

The lead character is Mateo (Harry Laurel), a young man from Bicol who goes to Lobo, Batangas to look for his long lost father who turns out to be an OFW in Dubai. He stays in Lobo and works as caretaker of its lighthouse (which is a character in itself in the movie). He has a steamy affair with a horny schoolteacher, Suzette (Jennifer Lee), who he says was the one who wooed him.

A stranger from the city, Jerome (Justin de Leon), takes a vacation in their place and Mateo acts as a tour guide for him. Jerome is gay and seduces Mateo, who proves to be a willing victim. Jerome soon returns to the city. Mateo’s dad arrives from abroad and ignores him. Rejected, he follows Jerome to Manila and lives in his pad. But when Jerome forces Mateo to do oral sex on him, Mateo refuses saying “Hindi ako bakla.” Jerome insists he is one, he just won’t accept it. They break up and Mateo returns to Lobo where he meets Tisyo (Crispin Pineda), an old man whose story is actually the framework of Mateo’s own story, which is just told in flashbacks.

You may or may not agree about the film’s premise on homosexuality, but there’s no doubt that Altarejos (who co-wrote the story with Lex Bonife) has come up with an engaging story about forbidden love and the choices one makes. Justin de Leon understands the challenges of his role well and comes up with a touching, heartfelt performance.

Jennifer Lee is also engaging as the teacher who can’t understand why her lover left her. Harry Laurel suits the role of Mateo physically, but emotionally, he is so much of a neophyte that he fails to be convincing. To begin with, the role is really so demanding that a more seasoned actor should have been cast in it. Technical credits are better than average, particularly the musical score and the production design.

Despite the "B" rating from the Film Development Council's Cinema Evaluation Board (which entitled the film to 65-percent rebate on its amusement taxes), "Ang Lalake sa Parola" was a commercial success at the exclusive IndieSine of the Robinsons Galleria Mall. The digital film, starring Harry Chua and Justin de Leon, also got mixed reviews from film critics, after surpassing the initial "X" rating from the MTRCB. The DVD version of the movie will be out soon, and, with fingers crossed, it will be in its uncut version.

At first kasi medyo hindi pa ako nakakarelate sa kovie pero noong nagstart na lumabas si Jerome, nalaman ko na kung ano ba talaga ang diwatang tinutukoy noong Mama na kausap ni Mateo. Hehe... Have you ate?

MASAHISTA : Pinoy Gay Film

MASAHISTA PLOT/SYNOPSIS

Masahista is a story about a young masseur named Iliac (played by Coco Martin) who caters to gay clientele. In here, sex is an immediate consequence of massage. One ordinary night, a gay writer (Alan Paule) becomes Iliac’s first customer of the day. But once outside the parlor, his current gf (Katherine Luna), a bar girl who works in Japan, asserts her sexual dominion over him.

KAMBYO : Pinoy Gay Film

Magbibida sa Kambyo sina Men of Provoq Johnron Tanada and Gabz Del Rosario, Lihim ni Antonio sensation Kenjie Garcia, Duda and Bathhouse find Rayan Dulay, and former TGIS kid Harold Macasero.

The road trip of the men will start in U.P. and will end in Ilocos.

Kambyo means a lot for director Jay and writer Lex. Drama kasi ang una nilang Lalaki sa Parola, tragic naman ang Ang Lihim Ni Antonio so very light lang ang Kambyo compared to the first two movies.

This doesn’t mean that the connoisseurs of gay themed movies will be disappointed dahil there will still be a lot skin exposures, including a passionate love scene kina Johnron and Rayan. Rayan knows he has a frontal scene in the movie; hindi pa alam at hesitant si Johnron kung nakitaan daw siya. Gabz has butt exposure and considerably tame ang kina Kenjie and Harold.
